Information we handle

If you create an account, we process your name, email address and sign-in information. Guest use creates an account identifier needed to operate the app. We store your meal entries, portions, calories and macros, goals, diary records and optional meal photos. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we use authentication information from that provider.

With your permission, we sync selected health measurements such as steps, energy and weight from Apple Health or Health Connect. You can revoke health access in device settings or the app. Camera and photo-library access is requested only when you use the relevant feature and grant device permission.

How we use information

We use this information to provide your food diary, goals, nutrition estimates and statistics; manage your account and subscription; and secure and troubleshoot the service. If you choose photo analysis, your image and request may be sent to AI providers (Anthropic or Google Gemini). When food search has too few results, the search text may be processed to produce AI-assisted results. AI estimates are not exact medical or nutritional measurements; you can edit them before saving.

Service providers and analytics

Meal photos are stored in AWS S3. In-app subscriptions are processed through RevenueCat and the Apple/Google stores; we do not directly collect your payment-card details. Sentry is used for crash reports. Mixpanel usage analytics runs only when you enable analytics consent in the app; you can change that choice on the Privacy screen. These providers receive data needed for their respective functions.

Retention and your choices

From Profile → Privacy you can export your data as JSON, change analytics consent and delete your account. A deletion request first deactivates the account; associated data and meal photos are removed by a background purge after a configured grace period. Security and transaction records may be retained longer where legal or operational obligations apply. See the account-deletion instructions below.
